For the fourth year in a row, the ACLU of Nebraska has commissioned an LGBTQ+ Nebraskan artists to create art that reflects an annual theme. This year Omaha-based artist Natori Pittman created a piece to reflect the theme of "Freedom."

About her work, Pittman said "I created this with the idea that the Pride Parade is the greatest display of queer freedom we have, showing that we are all free to be ourselves and to have families, in whatever form that takes."

This month, we invite LGBTQ+ Nebraskans to celebrate the freedoms that have been hard won, like our victory defeating legislation that would ban transgender youth from the playing fields, and look forward to the fundamental freedoms that we are still fighting for.
