Michael joined the ACLU of Nebraska as finance director in July 2024, becoming a staff member after years of volunteer service as the ACLU of Nebraska’s board treasurer. As finance director, Michael is responsible for financial oversight of the ACLU of Nebraska, including the annual budget process, financial planning, cash flow and investment management, contract renewals and more — all to sustain our considerable statewide impact.
Michael is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and former small business owner. His accounting background has focused on financial and performance auditing for corporate and government employers, as well as tax compliance and planning. He is a member of the Nebraska Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. In addition to his ACLU of Nebraska board service, he has also served on the boards of Fontenelle Forest, Nebraska Appleseed and the Omaha Irish Cultural Center.
Michael is an alumnus of the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
